Dear members,

Firstly, we would like to send everyone our best wishes and, we really do hope everyone is keeping safe and well during this uncertain time.

With this message, we are pleased to announce the availability of the ''Child Rights Capacity Development Course'' developed as part of the Child to Child/ OAK foundation 6P Child Rights Capacity Development Programme.

This new course is open access and intended for anyone who is working with and for children or whose work impacts on children’s lives. This course is a slimmed-down version of the courses we developed for Programme officers in Phase 2 of the 6 Principles programme and covers similar ground but does not include detailed information for programming activities. People taking the course do not require any prior knowledge of Child Rights.

This course is designed to help organisations and their staff improve the realisation of the rights of children by taking a Child Rights-based approach to their work. The approach draws on seven key principles that are presented in three modules.

  • Child Rights-Based approach
  • UNCRC General Principles
  • Best Practice Principles

The open-access course is available on the ’Child Rights - Principles to Practice’ site and set up for self – enrolment by clicking the course link below:
