The Ethiopian Society of Sociologists, Social Workers and Anthropologists (ESSSWA) was founded in June 1996. ESSSWA works with a vision to see sustainable and positive social change in Ethiopia and to be an active participant in the transformation process. Its mission is to represent the interests of the professionals of Sociology, Social Work and Anthropology and advance the application of these disciplines for the well being of the Ethiopian Society. Since its establishment, ESSSWA has organized series of national and regional workshops, annual conferences and trainings to its members and concerned stakeholders.
ESSSWA Program Coordinator
Job Purpose: The incumbent is accountable for coordinating the program of ESSSWA. S/he is also responsible for performing quality, efficient and hands-on program planning, monitoring, evaluation, learning, documentation and capacity building.
Persons Specification
- At least MA Degree in Sociology, Social Work and Anthropology or relevant field with 8 years of experiences
- Demonstrated competence in strategic thinking and analytical skill
Position title: Finance Officer
Position summary: The Finance Officer is responsible for handling of bank transactions and statements, completion of journal and monthly accounts, expenses and invoicing: preparing payment for authorized expenses; processing taxes; managing transactions with the bank; processing payroll; ensuring proper recording of all financial transactions; preparing information for external auditors and assistance in the audit; documenting annual internal audit of the funding received from donors.
